"The 59th Summer of Piano Music" - a piano music festival fostering the tradition of sharing music created by the composer and artist M.K. Čiurlionis himself - invites you to return to the apple orchard again!

Like every year, from Midsummer to September, on Wednesday and Saturday of every week, the most famous Lithuanian pianists of all generations will invite the audience to the apple orchard of the Čiurlionis House-Museum in Druskininkai and present their latest creative pursuits. One of them is ALEKSANDRA ŽVIRBLYTĖ, a pianist who has won recognition both in Lithuania and abroad.

ALEKSANDRA ZVIRBLYTĖ's playing is characterized by strength, fullness of sound and great energy, which is perfectly combined with emotional nuances and a unique manner of performance. She often organizes solo concerts, appears on stage with the best Lithuanian orchestras, and successfully combines concert activities with teaching work at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. With her persistent work, she earned recognition both in Lithuania and abroad. Aleksandra studied at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. The prizes won in children's competitions were followed by the names of laureates in the M.K. Čiurlionis pianists' and organists' competitions in Vilnius (1986, 1991) and Y.K.A.A. at the Oberlin International Piano Competition (USA, 1991). in 1999 The pianist won the "Grand prix" at the international N. Rubinstein competition held in Paris. 1989-1991 she interned at P. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with pedagogues L. Vlasenko, M. Pletniova and N. Suka.

The pianist performed in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, France and the USA. It cooperates with the Lithuanian Chamber, Lithuanian National Symphony, Kharkiv Philharmonic, St. Petersburg and Bulgarian Conservatory symphony orchestras, other collectives, conductors S. Sondecki, G. Rinkevičius, J. Domark, A. Šulčius, Ch. Christov, A. Kolobuchin, O. Weder and others.
