59 Piano Summer | Pianist Rimantas Vingras

"The 59th Summer of Piano Music" - a piano music festival fostering the tradition of sharing music created by the composer and artist M.K. Čiurlionis himself - invites you to return to the apple orchard again!

Like every year, from Midsummer to September, on Wednesday and Saturday of every week, the most famous Lithuanian pianists of all generations will invite the audience to the apple orchard of the Čiurlionis House-Museum in Druskininkai and present their latest creative pursuits. One of them is the pianist RIMANTAS VINGRAS.

RIMANTAS VINGRAS was born in Šiauliai, studied at the M.K. Čiurlionis Art School, studied at the P. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the University of Cincinnati in the USA. 1996-1999 Rimantas worked as a lecturer at the music department of the Šiauliai University, and later at the preparatory department of the University of Cincinnati. The pianist has been living in London since 2005. Here he gives solo concerts, performs chamber music, accompanies, and engages in pedagogical activities. Rimantas Vingras has performed as a soloist in Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, USA, China and Japan. He is also the chairman of the Baltic Music Society in London.
