Exhibition of Akvilė Linkeviciene and Agnė Miliauskaitė-Tulabienė "Born out of Love"
Two artists, A. Linkevičienė and A. Miliauskaitė-Tulabienė, create their own compositions highlighting
The artists' unique style and the theme of their works - motherhood. In this exhibition, the audience is invited to look at motherhood through the prism of two different artists, each interpreting the theme in their own way. Each artist explores the depth of motherhood and multifaceted nature of motherhood, using different media and techniques that reveal their personal experiences and emotions.
Agnė's installation on ceramic tiles is dominated by abstract, symbolic forms and
bright colours. The work is rich in elements symbolizing the circle of life and birth, which are composed in a mosaic principle. This installation evokes associations with the motifs of the beginning and the cycle, symbolizing the strength, patience and inner world of women. The texture of the tiles and their fragility reflect vulnerability and, at the same time, the strength that lies in motherhood.
The painter Akvilė Linkevičienė, who works in oil and spray paint on canvas, chooses
an expressive language of intense colours and spontaneous lines to create a vibrant and dynamic composition. In her works, one can see a mother figure surrounded by coloured signs and symbols, embodying the celebration of life and the joy of motherhood. Her work pulsates with emotion and conveys the warm and strong bond between mother and child, while at the same time embodying the spiritual aspect of motherhood.
Both artists create a deep dialogue about the essence of motherhood and its impact on women's self-expression. Exhibition invites each viewer to pause and feel how the theme of motherhood can be expressed through different to discover the communion between two different artistic languages and to reflect on the theme of motherhood the role of motherhood in today's culture.
In this exhibition we present two creative artists' interpretations of the theme of motherhood, a theme that combines joy, fragility, responsibility and inspiration. While both artists speak about the same stage of life, each artist chooses a distinctive mode of expression to convey her point of view, feelings and personal experiences.
Aquila reveals her work by painting on canvas with oil and spray paint, a material that
allows for lightness and transparency, and allows for the ability to convey both fragile emotions and profound states. Her work is like a testimony of an inner dialogue with motherhood - the colours, lines and forms subtly convey tenderness, care and changing identity.
Agnė uses ceramic tiles, a hard yet fragile material that reflects the paradoxes of motherhood. These tiles produce not only unique textures but also expressive images,
embodying the dynamism and strength of motherhood. Her works seem to combine tradition with a contemporary approach, allowing the viewer to discover themes of sustainability, life cycles and ever-changing identity.
This exhibition invites us to reflect on motherhood as an inner journey, opened up by two different but harmonising artists. It is a story of women's creativity, courage and ability
of discovering themselves through works of art.
The exhibition will run until 30 November.
Meet the artists at the closing event on 30 November at 15:00.
