The exhibition "BEGINNING" presents drawings, paintings and stained glass projects up to 2000 by stained glass artist Gintaras Dumčius.
Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union Gintaras Dumčius (born 27 May 1960) is considered to be part of a generation of artists who creatively perceived the meaning of themes and abstractions in different ways, transformed the diversity of artistic language, including pictorial, graphic and sculptural expressions and creative principles. Stylized flora and figurative images predominate in Gintaras Dumčius' stained glass, and the lead graphic line plays an important role in the composition - it strengthens the realistic drawing.

In 2010 the artist was invited to create stained glass windows for the church of the royal family estate Finca Cañaverosa, in Calaspara, Murcia, Spain, which was being renovated after a fire. For this church in 2011–2012 G. Dumčius created six 70 cm diameter stained glass windows: Noah’s Ark; Shroud of Christ; St. Trinity; Fish and Bread; Wheel of Eternity; Legend of the Bird; and the meter-wide stained glass window above the main entrance the Blessed Christ. All stained glass windows were realized.
In 2015 G. Dumčius gathered the professional Lithuanian stained glass artists for the symposium "Čiurlionis Reflections", the purpose of which was to create glass paintings for the Druskininkai M. K. Čiurlionis Art School. This Druskininkai stained glass symposium has become traditional, has been around for a decade, and 26 artists participated in it creating 71 stained glass projects. The works of 13 artists of different generations and styles decorated the school's interior and are now considered a certain reflection of the development of professional stained glass in Lithuania in the 2020s and 2030s.
