Alė Kalėdienė’s personal exhibition "Changing surfaces"

“Changing Surfaces” is an exhibition that explores constantly changing perceptions and inner states. In the mixed media works, reality is revealed as a multi-layered, unstable process, shaped by the interaction of colors, structures, and fragments. The painterly layers accumulate, disappear, and reappear, creating states between calm and tension, stability and transformation. These states intertwine inner silence and anxiety, concentration and fragility, a sense of closeness and distance. The works invite you not so much to search for specific images as to listen to moods, to recognize personal experiences and emotional traces that change depending on the gaze and the time of presence. Each encounter with the works becomes a personal experience – a brief stop in a constantly changing inner landscape.

Alė Kalėdienė is an artist from Druskininkai. She graduated from the Faculty of Design and Technology of Vilnius College, Vilnius Animation School and Vilnius University of Education (Bachelor's degree in Art Education). She has been participating in exhibitions and plein airs since 2007, and has held more than ten personal exhibitions. The author is also actively working in the field of clothing design, for which she feels a special creative passion. In this practice, color, silhouette and texture become not only aesthetic means, but also a form of self-expression and revealing individuality. As a stylist, she consults private clients on image issues. This activity naturally complements her artistic practice, expands the perception of color and form, and strengthens sensitivity to human internal states.

Currently, Alė Kalėdienė works in creative and pedagogical work at the Druskininkai M. K. Čiurlionis Art School - she teaches painting, animation and design, and also supervises two-dimensional and three-dimensional composition students in preparing their final theses. The author combines different areas of creativity into a single, recognizable aesthetic language.

The exhibition will be on display until 10th of May.

The exhibition opening even will be on 27th of February, at 3 pm in V. K. Jonynas gallery (Turistu st. 9, Druskininkai). The event is free.
