“MUSICAL FLASH” | THE “REGNUM MUSICALE” ENSEMBLE

The International Druskininkai Arts Festival “Touched by Čiurlionis” 

2nd May, 19:30 at DRUSKININKAI CHURCH

The program will feature works by Tarquinio Merula, Vidmantas Bartulis, Ferenc Farkas, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, Marcel Tournier, Jacques Ibert, Astor Piazzolla, Gioachino Rossini, and other composers.

The ensemble “Regnum musicale” (“Kingdom of Music”) is comprised of the Daunytė sisters—Joana, Vita Marija, Elena, and Kotryna Ugnė—all laureates of international competitions and Grand Prix winners. The ensemble performs classical, popular, and folk music, as well as improvisations. It stands out from other groups in that it includes a harp in its lineup.

“Regnum musicale” was invited to organize a concert series in the United States and participated in the classical music festival “Festival Classique de la Madeleine” in Geneva (Switzerland); At the World Harp Congress held in Hong Kong, they performed a unique concert program, and at the “Concurso Ibérico” International Competition for Chamber Ensembles with Harp (Madrid, Spain), they were awarded first prize. The members of “Regnum Musicale” organize educational programs aimed at bringing listeners of all ages closer to the art of music and fostering a love for music through both listening and active participation.

The musicians have received commendations from Lithuanian Presidents Valdas Adamkus and Dalia Grybauskaitė for their musical achievements and for promoting Lithuania’s name abroad.
