Aistė Jurga Krasauskaitė Exhibition of Paintings and Ceramics “NEPAMIRŠTI”

On June 6 at 5 p.m., the Druskininkai City Museum Gallery (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 37, Druskininkai) will host the opening of Aistė Jurga Krasauskaitė’s painting and ceramics exhibition “Nepamiršti.”

The exhibition brings together different forms of artistic expression—painting and ceramics—exploring the boundaries between the inner and the outer, color in paintings and ceramics, and light and shadow. For Aistė Jurga Krasauskaitė, the sensitivity of the surface, texture, color, and materiality, as well as the dialogue between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, are important—this is revealed in both the paintings and the sculptural ceramic objects. The focus of this exhibition is on paintings created in previous years. After a long wait, pulled from the darkness, they return to life. Shielded from gazes and judgments, the paintings awaited their moment. After the fire, they returned to the studio from the warehouse. Today, they are being shown to the public for the first time, bearing witness to fragility, the artist’s doubts, and the diversity of creative explorations.

The exhibition will run until July 2.

The exhibition opening is on June 6 at 5:00 p.m.
