Lithuanian garlic fried bread festival

Lithuanians have one culinary rule that no one disputes—the best conversations and evenings happen around a table laden with good snacks!

To celebrate International Brewers’ Day, Druskininkai transforms into one big laboratory of flavors. We’re introducing an intriguing and delicious city event unlike any other in Lithuania—the “Baked Bread Festival”!

What is it, and how will it all unfold?

This isn’t a traditional festival in a single square, but a decentralized city-wide culinary tour.

The festival will take place right in Druskininkai’s restaurants, cafes, and bars!

Festival Map: Pick up a paper copy or open the digital city map, which marks all the festival stops and features special chef-curated menus.

Gastro-Tourism: Travel with friends from one restaurant to the next, sampling exclusive appetizers paired with complementary drinks.

Voting: As you taste these delicious masterpieces, scan the QR code and cast your vote for the best ones!

Festival Categories (What will you vote for?)

Our city’s chefs have prepared special menus that will compete in 4 different categories:

“Golden Crust” – Traditional baked bread (we’re looking for Druskininkai’s champion!).

“Masters of Meat and Fire” – Meat appetizers (ribs, wings, etc.).

“Not Fish, but Gold” – Seafood and fish appetizers.

“Chef’s Challenge: Modern Deconstruction” – Experimental, vegetarian dishes, and unexpected desserts.
