61 Piano Summer | LUKAS KUMMER and ANASTASIIA SKOVLIUK
The V. K. Jonynas Gallery (9 Turistų St., Druskininkai) will welcome audiences and present its latest creative explorations by Lithuania’s most renowned pianists of all generations. Among them are KPM laureates, pianists Lukas Kummer and Anastasiia Skovliuk.

LUKAS KUMMER (Germany / Lithuania) – a pianist born in 2003 into a family of musicians, who grew up in a musical environment from early childhood. He studied at the Carl Maria von Weber State Music High School in Saxony, later continuing his studies at the University of Music, Drama, and Media in Hanover in the class of Prof. Alexander Schimpf, and also studied with pianist Gintaras Januševičius.
The artist’s musical taste was shaped by the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Romantic music, and 20th-century music. Since 2023, Lukas has been organizing the “Über Dresden” concert series, held at the Lingner Palace in Dresden, together with like-minded colleagues. In 2025, he became a fellow of the prestigious German Academic Scholarship Foundation, and he is currently furthering his studies in historical keyboard instruments.
ANASTASIIA SKOVLIUK (Ukraine / Austria) – a pianist born in Zhytomyr who began her musical journey at the age of seven. From the age of ten, she studied at the Kyiv State Music Lyceum, and at eleven she made her debut with the Ukrainian National Symphony Orchestra, performing Joseph Haydn’s Concerto in D major.
She studied piano and harpsichord at the National Music Academy of Ukraine, and later continued her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) in the class of Professor Anna Malikova. The pianist regularly performs in Ukraine and Europe and participates in international festivals in Austria and Lithuania. She is currently focusing on promoting Ukrainian music and projects that bring together the musical cultures of Ukraine and Austria.
