61 Piano Summer | NERINGA VALUNTONYTĖ
The V. K. Jonynas Gallery (9 Turistų St., Druskininkai) will welcome audiences and present the latest creative explorations of Lithuania’s most renowned pianists of all generations. One of them is pianist Neringa Valuntonytė.

Neringa Valuntonytė is a pianist and artist-researcher who explores the relationship between piano performance, identity, and self-representation within the field of academic music. Her artistic practice focuses on the creation of alternative stage personas and the exploration of different forms of selfhood during concert performances. The performer has given concerts in various European countries as a soloist and chamber musician, has collaborated with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and won third prize at the 8th International M. K. Čiurlionis Competition for Pianists and Organists. In 2025, she earned a Doctor of Arts degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater after defending her artistic research project, “The Creation of the Academic Musician’s Persona: From the Stage to a Personal Brand.” In addition to her concert activities, she conducts interdisciplinary artistic research on the themes of performer identity and the performative self in the art of the piano.
