At the V. K. Jonynas Gallery (9 Turistų St., Druskininkai), Lithuania’s most renowned pianists of all generations will welcome audiences and present their latest creative explorations. One of them is pianist Kasparas Mikužis.

KASPARAS MIKUŽIS, a pianist of the younger generation, has already performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Wigmore Hall in London and Concertgebouw Hall in Amsterdam. The pianist’s performances have been broadcast on the prestigious music channel Mezzo TV in more than 40 countries, and his recordings have been aired on radio stations in Lithuania and abroad. An active concert artist, he has given recitals at the Bridgewater Concert Hall in Manchester, United Kingdom, and at the Panderecki Center in Luslavice, Poland. Last April, Kasparas performed with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Robertas Šervenikas at the Lithuanian Philharmonic, and in July he was invited to give a recital in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace for the first couples of Lithuania and Poland. In 2023, the pianist won third prize at the International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano Competition.
This past February, Kasparas performed with one of Britain’s most renowned classical music conductors, John Wilson, and the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra, and this coming December he will give a recital at Wigmore Hall. This year, the pianist has also been invited to join the Imogen Cooper Foundation’s concerts and masterclasses with British pianist Imogen Cooper, and since 2023, Kasparas has been working closely with and studying under Grammy-nominated pianist Gabriela Montero.
Since 2017, Kasparas has been sponsored by Mstislav Rostropovich’s charity and support foundation “Help Lithuanian Children,” and the pianist is currently a fellow of the Drake Caleja Trust, the Countess of Munster, “Hattori,” and “Harold Craxton” in London. In 2018, Kasparas’s first CD was released by “KNS Classical.” Kasparas is continuing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London; he completed his bachelor’s degree under pianist Diana Ketler and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Christopher Elton’s class on a full scholarship. President D. Grybauskaitė of the Republic of Lithuania awarded Kasparas a letter of appreciation for promoting Lithuania.
