61 Piano Summer | ELŽBIETA LIEPA DVARIONAITĖ

The V. K. Jonynas Gallery (9 Turistų St., Druskininkai) will welcome audiences and present the latest creative explorations of Lithuania’s most renowned pianists of all generations. One of them is pianist Elžbieta Liepa Dvarionaitė.

Elžbieta Liepa Dvarionaitė is one of the most prominent Lithuanian pianists of the younger generation and a laureate of numerous national and international competitions. In 2025, she was awarded second prize at one of Spain’s largest piano competitions, the “Malaga International Piano Competition.” Most recently, in February 2026, the pianist won third place at the “Piano Campus” competition in France; in 2024, she was awarded second place at the Bechstein-Brukner Competition in Linz, Austria, where the best pianists nominated by all of Austria’s universities of performing arts competed. In March 2022, Elžbieta was awarded first prize at the Stasys Vainiūnas International Piano Competition, and in February 2023, she won second place at the “Piano Neuchâtel - Val de Travers” International Piano Competition in Switzerland. E. L. Dvarionaitė has performed in Japan, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, Latvia, Austria, Portugal, and the Czech Republic, and has also appeared with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Málaga Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Kaunas Symphony Orchestra, the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Riga and Tallinn Chamber Orchestras, and the Czech “Virtuosi Brunensis” Orchestra. She has studied under Y. Bronfman, A. Siirala, E. Nebolsin, G. Gruzman, D. Bashkirov, P. Nersessian, and others. In March 2018, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius presented her with the Little St. Christopher Award for her musical achievements and for promoting the city of Vilnius.

Elžbieta is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in Professor Ana Malikova’s piano class. The pianist regularly performs on stages in Lithuania and abroad, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In 2024, she founded “trio kosmos” with violinist Xenia Rubin and cellist Rahel Rupprechter. The ensemble is supported by the “Merita Cubed” program.
