Exhibition of paintings by Jolita Puronaitė-Lubienė and Ugnius Motiejūnas "TWO-EYESIGHT“

Two-eyesight is a device to surprise yourself - it has several meanings. The choice depends on how I will watch the exhibition. What is my explanation of the meaning?

Two-eyesight - the field seen by two eyes. I see the big picture and separate the pictures in my mind that I like more and less, I look for recognizable objects - faces, figures, animals, clouds and plants... Why do I want to distinguish between likes/dislikes? Why do I want to recognize objects in paintings that I did not paint, that appeared by themselves? Can others see them?

Two-eyesight is an exhibition of two authors with their own binoculars. Abstraction - when painted, but in a multi-sense way and it's fun to find the meaning yourself. Have the authors become different, do they think differently? Which one is closer to me? Why choose? Would I dare to sweep the brush wide and firm across the canvas, or would I stop in time? How would I like my paintings to look?

Two-eyesight – study of the same picture - from a distance, when the color spots are solid, merged, I see their mutual connections; and very close, right next to it, when I can smell the paint, see the layers of colors, how the spots cover each other, reproduce the relief, differ in thickness and texture, I forget the general picture, because the inner life of the painting becomes interesting, I can try to guess what happened on purpose, and which is successful by chance.

Two-eyesight is my different eyes after coming to the exhibition and after looking at it, after seeing it. Could it be that the exhibition is about me, even though it was painted by strangers? Are they really strangers?
