Folk art exhibition “Touched by M. K. Čiurlionis”

M. K. Čiurlionis is not only the most prominent Lithuanian artist and composer, but also a spiritual creator of the nation, whose art has left a deep mark on Lithuanian folk art. His work, imbued with symbolism, folk mythology, images of nature and cosmic visions, has become a source of inspiration for many folk artists seeking a deeper meaning and expression of national identity.
A joint exhibition of the work of folk artists from Druskininkai “Touched by M. K. Čiurlionis” is dedicated to the 150 th anniversary of the birth of M. K. Čiurlionis. The exhibition features G. Akstinas, R. Bolienė, D. Lukošiūnaitė, L. Kabelkaitė, N. Bulotienė. A. Česnulis. Paintings, papercuts and woodcarvings are presented.

The exhibition opens on August 10 at 12:30 p.m. The exhibition will be open until August 30 at the Crafts Center "Menų kalvė" (M. K. Čiurlionio g. 27).
