Ceramics Exhibition by Rūta Magdalena Bartkevičiūtė — “I AM A WOMAN”

Rūta M. Bartkevičiūtė’s ceramics have been on view to a wide audience for nearly two decades. From Lithuania to Italy, and from Europe to Asia and the Americas, private collectors and clients have acquired the artist’s works. She has held five solo exhibitions. As a young artist, she represented Lithuania at the international ceramics biennial held in Bornholm, Denmark. Rūta’s works have graced the shelves of the well-known Liberty department store in the United Kingdom.

The “I AM A WOMAN” exhibition has been in the works for several years. The ceramics, combined with archetypal drawings used in therapy, tell the story of a woman’s inner journey through the trials life sends her way. These challenges invite her to delve even deeper into her essence and ask herself: what does it mean to survive and remain true to herself—as a woman? When you dare to remain authentic, open-hearted, and choose love, how does the rest of the world respond?
