Jotvingiai festival in Leipalingis

The Jotvingiai festival in Leipalingis is already in its sixth year. This year it will be held on July 19 and July 27.

It is the main holiday of the town, which brings together residents of the town and those who have left it, enriches the daily life of residents and guests with cultural activities, broadens their horizons and strengthens the town's identity.

This year, the guests of the festival will have a wide musical program, and the winners of the Jotvingiai Prize will also be mentioned, and their works will be creatively presented.

PROGRAM:

July 19 Leipalingis manor

6:00 p.m.

Folk artist Eriks Čyp's tree bird exhibition "Birds are back"

Karolis Šileika's Skrabalman concert program: "Skrabals - acquaintance and music"

July 27 Leipalingis manor and near the manor

5:30 p.m. in the basement of the mansion. Opening of the exhibition of spatial carvings "Liepų alėja", author and artist Diana Lukošiūnaitė.

6:00 p.m. in the manor orangery. Open carving workshop led by artist Diana Lukošiūnaitė (participants will create a joint work that will be exhibited at the exhibition.)

6:00 p.m. in the meadow near the manor "Dziaugsmo pieva", intended for children and families. (games and education).

8:00 p.m. Jotvingi evening

Actress Aldona Vilutytė and Andrius Zalieska-Zala are the performers of the poetry and music program "Pasinesusikalbėmai".

Every year, the Jotvingiai festival is organized by the Druskininkai Cultural Center, Leipalingis Leisure Hall, Leipalingis town community and Leipalingis Eldership.

The festival is financed by the Lithuanian Culture Council and Druskininkai Municipality.
